Alcoholism is an issue and a major concern for most among people between the ages of 22 to 27 because of the different issues and situations that people are facing over time. Alcoholism is described as the excessive uncontrolled consumption of alcohol which is on the rise among people of this particular age group. The primary reason is that individuals within this age bracket have the ability and time to consume alcohol, which serves as a pass time activity for most of the individuals (Kearney, 2013). In some cases, genetics and psychological factors would impact how drinking alcohol affects the body and behavior.The issue requires a group rationale appr oach given the intensity of the addiction and also putting into consideration how the addiction has spread amongst people. (Corey, 2017). Alcoholism is an issue because it's addictive and thus will affect the livelihood of the people consuming. Alcoholism can cause diseases, loss of life, dropping out of school, giving up or in some cases reducing social and work activities or hobbies, and even break families management. The consumption of alcohol among the youth is a continuous process that continues to increase steadily. The use of group guidance will help provide the individual with the means to solve the situation and also give the future groups that may come in with an ideal procedure or measure as to how to resolve the situations that arise. The organization faces several issues that include the problems that one is facing and the circumstances that are likel y to be mitigated. Also, group guidance is an adequate rationale that can help reach out to a large group of individuals with the aim of finding an amicable solution. The effectiveness of the technique also underlines the main reason why the procedure should be applied (Bitancourt et al., 2016). Group guidance is beneficial because it can help deliver useful results. The use of the technique follows a step by step procedure whose outcome can be measured and quantified. Given that group, guidance deals with a large number of people it becomes challenging to fail to convince the whole lot. Success is therefore guaranteed. Compared to the other issue solving techniques the use of group thinking is effective in addressing specific issues because it helps to monitor the output of the group (Wilson, 2014). The process is also economically viable given that it is cheap and sustainable making it possible for one to use the process. The cost of using other techniques which may take an individual approach is costly over time which makes the whole process too expensive to engage. Another benefit is that the process guarantees returns or feedback within a short period of time, which requires an individual to encounter a number of challenges in growth and upbringing. The use of the techn ique, therefore, stands out compared to the other forms or strategies applied in the process (Wittmer Clark, 2007). It focuses on a collective judgment on the addictions as a problem hence willingness for the people to discuss the issues at hand, thus venting and openness is experienced. It also lays foundations and develops the participant's needs and prepares them to counseling.Further, group counseling determines a common problem thus participants can agree on a uniform strategy to solve their issues the best way possible. The method is preferable because of its benefits and effectiveness. Alcoholism, as explained, is an issue that is affecting many people who are in their youthful years. The need to change the culture of alcoholism to save the youth from dire ramifications that arise from the use of alcohol such as death, accidents that maim individuals and the use of death are on the rise and need to be addressed as a means to solve the main problems that are arising. The method is therefore preferable because it will reach a large number of people within a short time making it capable of solving the situations that relate to the group (Foxx et al., 2017). Group guidance is also preferable because it puts in place measures to monitor the situation and the issues that are arising from the entire process. There is also accountability that makes it effective to observe the progress of the group that is involved (Patton McMahon, 2014). For instance, other means that may substitute group guidance could b e less effective in addressing issues that a large group is facing within a short period of time. Group guidance has a comprehensive framework that highlights the problems, addresses and provides monitoring and evaluation of the output for determining the effectiveness of the process which makes it the ideal solution for the alcoholism issue facing people from different situations (Carruth Potter-Efron, 2014). Group guidance will use the approach of engaging in different activities such as the use of fun activities that involve people within the set age group to raise awareness on alcoholism, the dangers of alcoholism and the use of different processes to solve the problems arising from the situation. The use of group guidance will help in creating awareness and sensitization on how to avoid becoming an alcoholic. The other activities that will be involved will be inviting people to participate in ball games and events where people can bond and spend free time to reduce the number of people involved in the consumption of alcohol management. The activities which will also be applied will be the use of procedures to find a solution for the organization in the long term. The key messages that the sessions will have to address are how to avoid being an alcoholic and the dangers of alcoholism. The sessions will include teachings that require an individual to follow the right procedures to ensure that the organization has the ideal procedures to follow in achieving success. Each session will follow an ideal process that will address a particular issue. The main topic to be discussed will be the dangers of alcoholism, how to avoid being an alcoholic and the main issues that can be solved. The process will also include sessions that teach and address individuals on the solutions that are necessary among the youth (McMahon Patton, 2015). The problems facing individuals who are addicted to alcohol will also be given the ideal process on how to rehabilitate their lives and eliminate alcohol. The activities will also address the situations that one is facing within the organization. To accomplish the set objectives under the group guidance process the use of sessions will be necessary to help achieve the set goals within a month. The group guidance sessions will have to ensure that meetings and activities are organized on a daily basis with weekends including a full day of events so as to find the ideal solution to the process. The use of the strategy will be used to reduce the effects that one is facing through ensuring that there are close monitoring and assessment. The sessions should be arranged every evening during weekdays with each session being made up of three hours per session. The sessions will have different themes and issues drawn from the main point that helps to eliminate the situation that one is facing (McMahon, 2017).
